The Chargers won thier Class C Regional volleyball championship over Unionville Sebewaing Thursday sweeping them 3-0 at Reese. It was the first regional title for valley lutheran since 1983.

In a matchup of Tri Valley Conference rivals, Frankenmuth gave Valley Lutheran it's first loss of the season 2-1 Wednesday.
Valley Lutheran got a goal from Ricky Butler scoreing off an assist from Danny Doyle to get on the board first. Frankenmuth evened things up when Nathan Worden scored with an assist from Andrew Schroeder.

Merrill dumped host Valley Lutheran in a game that featured 118 points lighting up the scoreboard. The Vandals prevailed in a high scoring 70-48 affair. Valley Lutheran stayed undefeated improving to 7-0 on the season with a 6-2 win over North Branch. Ricky Butler had another good game scoring 2 goals and added an assist. Butler now has 10 goals in seven games. Five different players scored a goal for Valley Lutheran.
The Chargers led 4-1 at the half and got two more in the second half while holding North Branch to a single goal.

Valley Lutheran posted a couple of come from behind wins Wednesday evening over hemlock and Nouvel to win the triangular at home.
Valley Lutheran (8-3-1) defeated Nouvel, 25-22, 27-25 and then Hemlock, 25-21, 25-23. Nouvel beat Hemlock 25-15 and 25-17 in the other match.
