BRECKENRIDGE - With four players in double digits and a big first quarter, Breckenridge claimed a victory over Saginaw Valley Lurtheran.
Nick Foor and Devin Hartnagle had 16 and 14 points, respectively, to add to the Breckenridge win. Tyler Gulick contributed 12 points, while Keegan Giles put up 11.

The Chargers won thier Class C Regional volleyball championship over Unionville Sebewaing Thursday sweeping them 3-0 at Reese. It was the first regional title for valley lutheran since 1983.

St Charles put tons of points on the board in a 66- 21 blowout of host Valley Lutheran racking up 483 total rushing yards on the night.
The Dawgs scored 21 points in the first quarter with Parker Davenport rambling 24 yards to get the scoring started. The Chargers answered back immediatley when Braddock ran the kickoff 85 yards to tie the game 7-7. It only took three straight sets for the Chargers to down the Cardinals 3-0 on Wednesday evening.
Valley Lutheran won 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 with Sam Shafer leadint the way woth 10 kills and 10 digs. Kaelin Martlock added 17 assists, 6 digs and 5 kills, while Mikaela Yurgens tallied 8 kills and 6 blocks.
The Chargers travel to play Carrollton next Wednesday while the Cardinals host St Charles.

The Chargers knocked off the Dukes 5-0 in boys soccer on Monday on the road.
Valley Lutheran was paced by Ricky Butler and Nate Kern with two goals apiece and Bruce Rau added a goal.
The Chargers led 2-0 at the half before adding three in the second half while holding the Dukes scoreless. The Dukes were out shot 28-4 in the contest.
Valley Lutheran improves to 9-1 (3-1 TVC) and hits the road to take on host Caro on Wednesday.

In a matchup of Tri Valley Conference rivals, Frankenmuth gave Valley Lutheran it's first loss of the season 2-1 Wednesday.
Valley Lutheran got a goal from Ricky Butler scoreing off an assist from Danny Doyle to get on the board first. Frankenmuth evened things up when Nathan Worden scored with an assist from Andrew Schroeder.

Merrill dumped host Valley Lutheran in a game that featured 118 points lighting up the scoreboard. The Vandals prevailed in a high scoring 70-48 affair. QB Kyle Tack of Merrill has started out of the gate with two wins under his belt and eight touchdowns for two weeks running. He has thrown 10 passing TD’s in two games so far this season.

Valley Lutheran stayed undefeated improving to 7-0 on the season with a 6-2 win over North Branch. Ricky Butler had another good game scoring 2 goals and added an assist. Butler now has 10 goals in seven games. Five different players scored a goal for Valley Lutheran.

Valley Lutheran posted a couple of come from behind wins Wednesday evening over hemlock and Nouvel to win the triangular at home.
Valley Lutheran (8-3-1) defeated Nouvel, 25-22, 27-25 and then Hemlock, 25-21, 25-23. Nouvel beat Hemlock 25-15 and 25-17 in the other match.

Valley Lutheran boys soccer remains undefeated early in the season with a 4-1 non-conference win over visiting Burton Genesee christian Tuesday.
The Chargers jumped out to an 2-0 halftime lead with goals by Nathan Spencer and Ricky Butler. Butler and Landon Schriber added second half goals, while Burton only managed a single goal for a Charger 4-1 win.

Valley Lutheran won three straight matches by a score of 1-0 beating Croswell-Lexington, host Unionville-Sebewaing and Harbor Beach before the tournament was stopped due to bad weather on Saturday.
