CHESANING -- Bullock Creek opened a big early lead and cruised to a 67-21 win over host Chesaning in Tri-Valley Conference Central girls' basketball on Tuesday.
The Lancers led 19-4 after the first quarter and 35-11 at halftime before outscoring the Indians 32-10 in the second half.

HEMLOCK - Bullock Creek defeated a determined Freeland squad 43-30 and crushed Ovid-Elsie 71-3 on Wednesday at the Hemlock wrestling quad to finish at 2-0. Both Hemlock and Freeland finished 1-1 on the night.

Swan Valley lost to Freeland in a close 3-2 TVC match Wednesday after leading 2-1 at the half.
Austin Roberts scored the first goal 7 minutes into the match for Swan Valley on an assist from Austin Crawford. Roberts returned the favor on an assist to Crawford for the second Viking goal. Freeland's Robby Boyes got a goal to give the Vikings a 2-1 lead at the half.

Freeland had another great week running the ball in a 36-6 pounding over host Chesaning Thursday. After running for 386 yards and six TD's last week, the Falcons followed it up with another 355 yards with 204 coming from senior David Ruhlman (3 TD's) and 94 yards by Matthew Schauman.
Ruhlman scored on a 5 yard run late in the second quarter for a 7-0 halftime lead.

Freeland scored five first half goals and shot to a 7-2 win over host Chesaning Monday. The Falcons were led by Pedro Baccarin and Drew Kipfmiller's two goals apiece.
Alex Green, Robert Trahan and Gage Armstrong each notched a goal for the Falcons, while Ryan Spaulding made 2 saves in the net. Jared Weisenberger tallied both goals for the Indians.
The Falcons (2-0-1) play host to Ithaca on Wednesday, while Chesaning (0-3) hosts Bullock Creek.

The Clare Cyclones fumbled their first game losing 35-48 to the Falcons at Freeland High school Friday night. Both teams ran out of the gate hot in the first quarter as Clare’s Aaron Haynack caught a 30 yard pass from Brent Luplow to get the first points of the game. Falcon, David Ruhlman answered back a few minutes later with a 65 yard pass from Conner Schultz. Luplow threw another pass this time for 75 yards to Haynak for another Cyclone touchdown. Falcon ...

Drew Kipfmiller scored Freelands lone goal Monday enabling the Falcons to finish with a 1-1 tie against Ovid Elsie.
Pedro Baccarin assisted on the goal, while Ryan Spaulding made 3 saves for the Falcons (1-0-1).

Frankenmuth girls golf took 1st in the TVC golf Jamboree at the Caro Golf Club Thursday.
