This past Saturday, the Dow High competitive cheer team advanced to Division 1 regionals by placing second out of 14 teams at the district competition at Davison.
Dow was in first place after round 1, third place after round 2, and finished strong in round 3 to take the runner-up spot with 717.4576 behind Davison's first-place score of 723.5868.

BULLOCK CREEK - Midland Bullock Creek entered Tuesday night's game against Hemlock with a single loss, however, led by 23 points from Karli Herrington, the Hemlock girls completed the upset, defeating Midland by three points.

HEMLOCK — Hemlock clinched a second-straight trip to the postseason Friday with a 41-32 victory at home over Bullock Creek.
It's the first time in school history that Hemlock has made a trip to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. If the Huskies finish with a victory in Week 9, it'll be the first time since 1983 that a Hemlock team has reached seven wins.

Bullock Creek and Marlette finished first in their pools at the Caro Tournament Saturday and were named co-champs when the event was stopped due to bad weather.
The Lancers finished 3-0 beating Chesaning, Millington and Pinconning, while Marlette tied Caro in a scoreless game. Both teams were 1-0-2, but Marlette was named the winner of its pool after not allowing any goals while Caro allowed a score in a 1-1 tie with Otisville-Lakeville.
