Carrollton Football Whips Elkton Pigeon 56-0

Carrollton sent Pigeon Bay home with their tails between their legs after a season opener 56-0 opener. Derrick Nash opened the game with a 92 yard kickoff return to start the shutout with Bryce Baase kicking the extra point. Cameron Goschke, picking up a fumble ran 18 yards for another TD.  Nash scored another TD on an 11 yard run ending the quarter 21-0.

The Cav’s showed no mercy as Nash ran for 6 for another TD. Then Ray Flores threw a 16 yard pass to Kyle Rivette for a TD. Nash put another 30 yards and a TD on his record to end the quarter 42-0

After the break, Pigeon Bay bulked up their defense holding the Cav’s to a scoreless third quarter.

The Cav’s would not be denied though as Chris Harris ran in for 3 yards and a touchdown, with Collin Justice adding the extra point. Madison Gonzales put the final TD for the game and a Carrollton win.

Other standouts were Cameron Goschke with 2 interceptions and Jeff Diebel with 9 tackles.

Carrollton goes on to play at home next week against St. Louis.
