BIRCH RUN — Every player scored for the Birch Run boys basketball team in its 62-44 win over visiting St. Charles Tuesday.
The Panthers (4-4) outscored St. Charles 35-12 in the first half and despite a charge from the Bulldogs in the second half, the outcome had long been decided.
“We came out with a lot of energy and the kids did a nice job,” Birch Run coach Perry Mccord said. “We had control of the game early. It was a good game for us.”
All nine players scored at least two points for Birch Run, led by Josh Istratescu’s team-high 14 points. Trey Banister finished with 13.
Despite the loss, Kyle Clark had a game-high 30 points to pace St. Charles.
