ESSEXVILLE - Frankenmuth girls basketball easily out-matched host Essexville Garber 54-18 in TVC action Thursday evening. The Eagle defense held the Dukes to single digits in each of the four quarters.
Frankenmuth soared out to a 12-3 first quarter lead and extended it to 26-8 at the half. They didnt let up out-pacing the Dukes 28-10 in the second half to cruise to the win.
Rae Zink scored a game high 17 points followed by Taylor Wood's 10 points and Meghan Miller with 10. Alissa Kane had 5 points and Olivia Shelton had 4.
Mallory Irish led the Dukes with 4 points , while Emma MacBride hed 3.
The Eagles improve to 6-1 overall and undefeated at 5-0 in the TVC. They travel to play North Branch on Tuesday.
