The Panthers (11-0) rallied for three touchdowns in the third quarter after a slow start to beat harbor Beach 28-0 Friday night at Nouvel.
The Panthers output their lowest point total of the first half in the playoffs with the only points coming off a touchdown by Mitch Jacqmain who busted up the middle and broke free for a 64-yard run.
It was a different story in the third quarter when the Panthers came out from the lockeroom. They got back into their game, running the ball. Jacqmain scored on the Nouvels first drive in the second half, again busting up the middle and going in from 12 yards. Gabe Augustin ran in a 4 yard touchdown and Jacmain came up big on defense intercepting a Harbor Beach pass on the Pirates first play. Minutes later Lewis scored a touchdown on a 5 yard run to end the scoring.
Penalties hurt the Panthers who had five in the first half alone.
Lewis led the Panthers with 20 carries for 157 yards and a TD, while Jacqmain had 5 carries for 88 yards and 2 TD's along with an interception.
The Panthers advance to the Division 7 semifinals next Saturday against the winner of todays Traverse City St. Francis-Ishpeming quarterfinal.
