SAGINAW TWP — After surving a hard-fought 26-24 Game 1 win over Nouvel Catholic Central, St. Charles got stronger as the match went on, finishing the three-game sweep of the Panthers with 25-16 and 25-18 wins in the Class C district tournament.
Kristie Leroy had eight kills for Nouvel, while Molli Franz added seven and four blocks. Haley Henris contributed 18 digs for NCC, while Vacey Rocha added four digs and Claire Dijak finished with 18 assists.
