Carmichael Brothers Accounts for Five TD's Leading Heritage Football to Win

Jay  and Blake Carmichael had a part in five of the Hawks touchdowns in a SVL win over visiting Flint Northern 47-20 Friday. The brothers tallied a combined 345 yards in the win.

Jay Carmichael kick started the offense scrambling in 21 yards for a touchdown breaking a tackle to score. Kyle Telder added a touchdown from 5 yards out but the Vikings scored on a run for a 13-8 first quarter lead.

Blake Carmichael scored early in the second quarter pounding his way into the endzone on a 7 yard run. Marquis Evans caught a pass along the sideline from Jay Carmichael and ran in for a 25 yard TD for the Hawks. The 

Vikings scored on a 11 yard run to end the half with a 26-14 Hawk advantage.

Hawk QB Jay Carmichael scored on runs of 16 and 27 yards for the only points in the third.

In the final quarter, Evans scrambled 17 yards for the Hawks and the Vikings ended the game with a 30 yard passing TD with no time left on the clock.

Jay Carmichael finished with 129 yards rushing and 3TD's on 13 carries and Blake Carmichael had 216 yards on 25 carries and 1 TD. 

The Hawks (3-1) host Bay City Western (4-0) next Friday.
