Heritage Tennis Captures Own Jim Teal Tournament Title

The Heritage Hawks tennis team won their own Jim Teal tournament, their first since 2003. It was Hawks head coach Gary Senkowski first title in the tournament, which is in it's 18th year. Senowski has been coaching the Hawks the last 10.

The Hawks finished with 23 points followed by Midland High with 17. Bay City Western finished in third with 10 points and Nouvel Catholic Central was fourth with 5.5 points. Hemlock and Bay City Central had 4.5 points, while Frankenmuth finished last scoreless.

The Hawks had a player in every final at the tournament.

Midland High freshman Luke Mills was flwaless in the tournament. he did not drop a set or match on his way to the “A” singles final. Mills beat Heritage senior Zach Fattel in the finals, 6-0, 6-0.
