St Charles Blows Out Visiting Sandusky 10-31-09

Sandusky came to play St Charles in a Division 6 playoff game and was blown out by host St Charles 51-12.

Sandusky scored the first touchdown and the last touchdown, but it was all St Charles in between.

Sandusky ran in for the first score from 28 yards, but failed to convert the two-point conversion. A few minutes later Tyler Larsen ran 55-yards for the first of his two TDs.Tyler Nieman scored next for the Bulldogs rambling in 75-yards for the TD, the PAT failed and St Charles led 13-6 after one quarter.

Larsen started the scoring in the second quarter with a 75-yard TD and Travis Crane converted the PAT. QB Dugan Roosa ran in a 2-yard TD for a 27-6 Bulldog lead at halftime.

In the second half the Bulldogs kept up the scoring run when Roosa connected with Nieman on a 9-yard pass for his second TD of the night. Crane ran in a TD of his own dashing in from 4-yards, the PATs falied for a 39-6 lead.

Sam Meyer scored a TD in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard run for the Bulldogs followed by a Parker Davenport 24-yard run, both extra points failed.

Sandusky finally scored again on a 2-yard run with 2-seconds left in the game.

The Bulldogs ran for 280-yards on the ground

St Charles will play Reese next Friday at St Charles, The Bulldogs will try to win their third district title in the last four years. Reese defeated Elkton-Pigeon 29-6 for the right to advance to play St Charles.
