It was cold, gloomy, and drizzling rain Saturday, but that did not stop opening day for Saginaw Township Soccer to begin. Several hundred children took to the field in various leagues, recreational and travel soccer.

Youth of all ages were out in force dribbling, passing and shooting on the net. Although it was exciting to watch the older age groups, the action was at the 4 year old fields, as they clustered around the ball, little legs kicking, honing their skills for the future.
