Sports Illustrated Names Michigan State as "Best School" for College Basketball in Last Decade 12-18-09

In it's latest article, "2000's The Decade In Sports", Sports Illustrated has rated Michigan State as the "Best College" for college basketball in the last decade.

MSU was picked over teams like North Carolina and Florida. North Carolina won two national championships and played in four Final Fours, and Florida became the first college in 15 years to repeat as national champs.

During the last decade, the Spartans won one national championship (2000) and has been to the "Big Dance" every year in the last decade.

MSU was also named in the "Best Regular Season Game"., for the March 2005 triple-overtime game, in which the Spartans lost to Gonzaga 109-103. The game was played in the quarterfinals of the Maui Invitational.
