The North Saginaw Township Little League teams had a good weekend in Little League district play.

In the Senior Division (16-U), Saginaw Township North defeated Caro 4-1 in Cass City on Sunday. Pitcher Keith Whyte fanned 11-batters while going seven innings.

The team went 2-0 over the weekend and with the win on Sunday, advances to the district semi-finals on Tuesday.

Saginaw Township South walloped Pigeon 19-3 in a mercy shortened four inning game Saturday. Tyler Jacqmain led the team with 3-hits, 4-RBIs and 3-runs while Marquin Evans had 2-hits, 2-RBI's and scored 4-runs. Every team member had at least 1-hit in the game for South.

They will play their next game at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

In the Junior Division (14-U), North Saginaw Township pounded bad Axe 15-5 in Caro on Saturday.

Saginaw Township South defeated Essexville 10-1 on Saturday. South managed to score nine runs in the first inning to grab a huge lead. Jacob Ross hit a solo home run in the fifth inning for the teams final run. Pitcher Cody Sears struck out 8-batters after giving up a first inning home run for South.

Saginaw Township South advances to the district semifinals at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Bay City Southwest.

North Saginaw Township lost 7-2 to Bay City Southwest in the Majors division(12-U).

In the 11-U Division, North Saginaw Township came back to defeat Bay City Southwest in the district tournament, 7-4, at Bay City Northwest on Sunday.

Justin Hughes hit a home run and got the win on the mound after going 4-innings and fanning 4-batters.

North Saginaw Township plays Bay City Northwest Monday at 7 p.m.

In the 10-U division, Parker Ackerman and Jacob Kalandyk each slammed a 3-run home run in North Saginaw Township's 27-1 win over Caro Sunday.

Saginaw Township South defeated Bay City South 9-4 on Saturday.

Marshawn Evans got the win on the mound and went 3-for-3 at the plate with 2-RBI's and scored a run.
