Heritage Pitcher Jeff Kinley Selected To Play In Annual Baseball All-Star Classic 6-15-10
Heritage pitcher Jeff Kinley was invited to play in the Annual Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic, Monday, June 21 at Comerica Park in Detroit. Kinley, who will play for for Team West, was among 36 athletes from throughout the state invited to play in the game. Kinley was the Saginaw Valley League's Most Valuable Player as a junior and has signed to play his college ball at Michigan State University. The MHSBCA has hosted an all-star game since 1981 featuring the top baseball talent in the state of Michigan. The game is presented by the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities, in an effort to strengthen the game of baseball in the state while Michigan’s best players are on display. In last years game the West beat the East 13-4. Mike Schaaf of Arthur Hill played for the West. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $5 at the gate. Kids who wear their little league uniforms gain free admission. The game begins at 7 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
