The group runs rain or shine! participants must submit an emergency contact information form and liability waiver, which is available there. Fun food Fridays...bring a HEALTHY snack to share. The Hawks Running Club was formed last year as a great way to promote runnung and to keep athletes in shape during the summer. The group is led by coach Daryl Bernard of the White Pine Cross Country Team. A mileage chart will be available so runners can track their progress. Last year some runners logged in over 100 miles over the course of the summer . While many of the Hawks Running Club members are also White Pine Hawks cross country team runners, the club is comprised of athletes from other schools and from many sports as well, including soccer, basketball, football, hockey, volleyball, swimming, wrestling, even jujitsu! Some run to get in shape, some run to keep their fitness, and some run just for fun! The group runs until August 14.
