Hawks Freshman & JV Boys Basketball Teams Get Wins Over Flint Southwestern Academy 1-14-10

Flint Southwestern Academy came to Heritage High School and was sent home with losses for their boys freshman and JV basketball teams.

In the first game the Hawks freshman team got a big win 50-22 over the Knights.

Harneet Singh scored 11-points for the Hawks, Bradley Brown had 8-points, Marcus Wright scored 7-points, Michael Buchanan and Kyle Telder each scored 6-points, Telder also tallied 2-assists.

Later in the evening the Hawks JV team defeated the Knights 48-39. Heritage jumped out to a 24-15 hafltime lead. The Knights came out in the third period and stepped up their defense giving the Hawks fits. The Hawks managed to fend them off for a 36-29 advantage at the end of the third. The JV team shot well enough to get the 48-39 win.

Tevontae Abraham led the Hawks with 13-points. Benjamin Bader scored 12-points, Tanner Davis 8-points, David Jensen 6-points and Zachary Fornwalt added 5-points.
