Former Red Wing Chris Chelios Signing Autographs in Saginaw On Sunday 2-3-10
Chris Chelios, now playing in the American Hockey League, will be signing autographs at the grand opening of the new Saginaw Verizon Wireless Communications Store. He will be at the Saginaw Verizon Wireless Communications Store, 5775 State St. (Corner of State Street and Wieneke Road) from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 7. Autographs are FREE and are limited to one per person. Customers visiting the store will be eligible for a $50 discount on a wireless device and get free activation with a two-year contract.
Chelios, a 25-year NHL veteran, was a member of the Red Wings and won a Stanley Cup in 1986 (Montreal) , 2002 (Detroit) and in 2008 (Detroit). He also made 12 all-star appearances in his NHL career and won 3 Norris Trophies (top NHL defenseman,1989, 1993, 1996). Chelios also holds the record for most games played by an American born player (1,496) and in the 200809 season, he appeared in the playoffs for an NHL record 24th time. Chelios was also a two-time team captain for Team USA Olympic Hockey Team (1998, 2006). Chelios is currently playing hockey in his hometown for the AHL Chicago Wolves. He has played in 26 games this season and has 5-goals and 13-assists for a total of 18-points. ![]() ![]() ![]()
