Essexville Gaber Pounds Bridgeport 56-0 To Win TVC East Football Crown 10-16-09

Essexville Garber clinched the TVC East crown with a 56-0 pounding of Bridgeport at home. The Dukes dominated on the ground scoring five rushing TDs.

Garber ran out to a huge 28-0 lead in the first quarter scoring 3-rushing TDs and a punt return for a TD.

Dominic Trogan ran in from 34-yards followed by a 32-yard punt return for a TD by Travis Britko. David Laskowski rambled in from 7-yards and Lee Madziar dashed in from 1-yard for the 28-0 lead.

In the thrid quarter things were a little slow until the final minute of play when QB Madziar connected with Mike Schroeder for a 19-yards TD pass. With no time left on the clock Laskowski intercepted a Bearcat pass and ran it back 97-yards for a TD and a 42-0 halftime lead.

In the thrid quarter Anthony Wregglesworth scored on a 2-yard TD run.

Chris Guinn dashed in from 15-yards for the games final points and a 56-0 win for the Dukes.

Garber improves to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the TVC. Bridgeport remains winless with a 0-8 record.
