Cinco De Mayo - Cinko K Run & Walk A Run -A-Way First 5-9-10
The First Annual Cinco De Mayo - Cinko K Run / Walk went off without a hitch despite strong winds, cold and light rain. The usual cast of die-hard runners and walkers as well as first timers showed up for support.

The race was the first time a 5k run walk was added to the Cinco De Mayo festivities thanks to Joe Stricker, owner of Martial Arts Connection. The race began at the corner of Hamilton and Court street, turned right onto Michigan Avenue and traveled down to Michigan and Genesee before returning back.

The overall winner of the 5K run was 16 year old, Tom Alcosta of Saginaw in 19:37.06. The overall female winner was Bridgett Looby, 46, also of Saginaw in 24:47.36. The over

The winner of the 5k walk was David Cable, 62, of Saginaw in 40:23.30. The top female in the 5K walk was Kathy Kerbleski, in 40:38.52.
