Carrollton Spanks St. Louis 67-7 To Capture Share of TVC West Crown 10-16-09

Carrollton totally dominated St. Louis with a 67-7 win to capture a share of the TVC West crown. The Cavaliers scored 6-rushing TDs and totaled almost 300 yards on the ground.

Zack Palmreuter got the scoring started with a 3-yard run in the first quarter. Eddie Tucker scored the Sharks only points on a 13-yard run and a 7-6 lead.

Carrollton went to work and went on a scoring spree with 5-TDs in the second quarter. Jay-Jay Perry scored on a 7-yard run followed by a Robert Essex 1-yard run. Essex then ran in a punt return 55-yards for a TD. Palmreuter then tossed in a couple of TDs, an 11-yarder to Adam Moses and a 8-yard pass to Andy Miller. The Cavaliers led at the half 40-7.

Essex scored his third TD from 14-yards and Perry ran in two TDs from 24 and 32-yards. Moses scored his second TD returning an interception 40-yards.

Essex finished with 134-yards rushing a 3-TDs and Perry tallied 156-yards and 3-TDs.

Carrollton grabbed a share of the title with St. Charles beating Ithaca and finishing 7-1 overall and 6-1 in the TVC.
