The NCAA-certified Summer ShowCase at Saginaw Township’s Center Courts featured top notch action all day from area high schools.
The tournament featured AAU teams from 11 high schools from around the state. Teams from Arthur Hill, Buena Vista, Heritage, Midland High, Swan Valley as well as the Detroit and Flint area.
The teams and players are not only preparing for the upcoming season, they were playing in front of college scouts.

Freeland SportsZone Volleyball Camp Registration Ends Wednesday 7-20-10
Registration ends Wednesday at Freeland SportsZone for a boys and girls volleyball camp. The camp is scheduled for July 26-29 from 2-4 p.m.
The camp, for boys and girls entering grades 4-9 will be instructed led by Janel Flores and the SportsZone staff.
Registration for members is $35 and $60 for non-members.
You may register in person at the SportsZone, 5690 Midland Rd.

Midland Community Tennis Center High School Showdown Registration Ends on Monday, July 26 7-21-10
The Midland Community Tennis Center will host a tournament for high school players to get ready for the up-coming school season. The two day tournament is set to run from July 31-Aug. 1. with matches starting at 10 a.m. both days.
The High School Showdown will feature both boys and girls singles and doubles. Participants must be high school students(2010 school year) or recently graduated this year.
Swan Valley High School Seeking Boys Basketball Head Coach For Upcoming Season 7-22-10
Swan Valley High School is seeking a varsity boys basketball coach to replace retired head coach Ted Szafranski.

Sign up for boys and girls k-6 fall soccer has begun and will run through Aug 27th. A new 5 yr old league will be offered this year. Games will begin on Sept. 18.
Cost for the league is $35 for Thomas Township residents and $42 for non-residents.
The six week season will be played on Saturdays at the Shields Festival Grounds. Shin guards are required.
